Hi there! I’m Jon McGlothlin, certified welder repair technician & owner of Mountain States Welder Repair, LLC. If you’ve had a welder repaired in Grand Junction over the last several years, I was likely the guy who did the job. I was an employee of Western States Welder Repair for five years. When they closed in September 2010, I bought their stock, equipment and phone number. We found a great location, moved in, and opened our doors as Mountain States Welder Repair in October, 2010.
Welder repair is unique and challenging work. It is different because welding machines are engine mechanical systems, electrical generation systems, and electronic computer systems all rolled up in one piece of equipment. Thus they require a diverse knowledge base to repair them. I handle each of these widely differing systems with an understanding of how these systems must interact to make the machine function correctly.
Give us a call or come by!
My name is Pattie Meehan. I have been working for Mountain States Welder Repair since June, 2011. I take care of the business end of the company. I wear several “hats” with names on them, BookKeeper, Office Manager, Parts Counter Person, etc. But what I am to our customers is the most important. It will be me who talks to you the most while your machine is in the shop. I write up the estimates, call you for approval, ask you for money, order your parts, and call you again when your machine is repaired. When you call to ask a question, I will answer the phone. The more technical questions I will turn over to Jon. While I am learned in the language of welders, and the basics of what you may need … I am not the one who knows them inside and out.
I also manage our parts department. Since we are factory certified to repair the machines, we have the ability to purchase and sell the parts also. See The Welder Parts page to view what parts we have available.
I look forward to helping you!
